Flatability: Transitions from Material to Object

The work presents current research into the relationship between material and object.  At what point does underlay sculpted into a form cease to be identified as material and become an object in its own right?

In a tale of self-discovery, illustrated with collaged images of soft underlay sculptures, a little piece of underlay wrestles with the limitations of its own physicality, meets other forms of its material self and learns of the inevitability of its own collapse.
